Standing Committees

The current standing committees are listed below.  All MBA graduates of AGSB are enjoined to actively participate in these committees.  Click below to view the committees.  Please inform the appropriate Committee Chair directly by email of your interest, or you may submit your name to agsbaai@aps.ateneo.edu, or you may contact our Corporate Secretary Jamie Lihan at jamielihan@gmail.com.

The Events Committee plans and coordinates all association events, works out pricing for events, creates paper and e-mail invitations, and sends event information to the Communications/Website Committee.

The Committee is co-chaired by Art Elefante (Standard 08), Eugene del Rosario (MM 09) and Egay Liu (MM 09).  Contact them at: lime.talents.events@gmail.com, edr79@yahoo.com, and eb_liu@yahoo.com, respectively.

Committee activities include inviting alumni members to attend school-organized briefings such as the Eaglewatch, forums organized by the different Clusters (Central Management, Economics and Research, Finance, HR, IT, Health, Marketing and Operations), Lenten/Advent lectures and similar events.

The Communications/Website Committee maintains the AGSBAAI alumni Web pages found in the AGSB Website.

The Committee Chair is Charlie Jorge (Regis 06).  Contact him at cjorge@aps.ateneo.edu.

Committee activities include posting event invitations in the Website.  Its current major thrust is to design the Web pages that will provide appropriate alumni representation in the AGSB Website, making it useful for alumni profile updating, networking with other graduates, and knowing the goings-on in AGSBAAI.

The Membership Development Committee collects alumni update information, maintains the alumni database and produces the necessary lists extracted from the database.
  
The Committee Chair is Jamie Lihan (Standard 07).  Contact her at jamielihan@gmail.com.

Committee activities include maintaining an online database called “Online Yearbook”, instituting standardization for updating the database, building the database, making it available for networking and job profiling, and developing download capabilities.  This Committee also gets itself involved in producing the yearly printed yearbook.

The Social Involvement/Service Committee plans at least one service event during the year.

The Committee is co-chaired by Irwin Montano (Regis 07) and Lulu Moguel (Regis 01).  Contact them at: imontph@yahoo.com and moguelle@yahoo.com, respectively.

The current priority of the committee is to organize the Alumni Fellowship (otherwise remembered as the Alumni and Student Night).  Potential projects under this committee are alumni sports tourneys, retreats, and Outreach initiatives.

The Finance Committee assists the Treasurer in managing the funds of AGSBAAI, maintains the Association books of account, and prepares monthly and annual statements.

The Benefits Committee identifies and develops projects and schemes that directly bring about benefits to individual alumni members.

The Committee Chair is John Vinta (Standard 99).  Contact him at vinta@mydestiny.net.

The benefits can range from discounts on CCE Courses and AGSB Electives, access to school facilities, e.g., the APS library, exclusive discounts/privileges at participating merchants, and invitation to exclusive events, All benefits are linked to the AGSBAAI ID Cards which this Committee manages.  Product and service promotions are directed by this Committee to the Blue Market webpage.

The Education Committee designs programs for training and skills updating specifically directed to alumni members.

The Committee Chair is Ric Palo (MM 02).  Contact him at rpalo@aps.ateneo.edu.
 
Forums covering Mulat Diwa, alumni CEO, Strategic Management, Business Planning and functional training modules are initiatives being considered.

The Ways and Means Committee is not a standing committee.  It is an adhoc Committee created to identify fund sources required to finance the Association’s projects.
