How to Apply

Once you have chosen your Ateneo Graduate School of Business Program, there are several convenient ways to apply. Online Application is the fastest, easiest way to obtain a place in the program of your choice. You may also apply in person at the AGSB campus and use any of our online computer kiosk available.

Once you are admitted to one of our programs, you'll enjoy timely communication with your program coordinator, who will notify you of course schedules, preprogram assignments, information on the area and accommodations, and other details regarding your programs.


Admission Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree from government recognized institution in any field of study, evidenced by official transcript of records.
  • Good academic records with average grade of 85%, or B or 2. Applicants below this average who satisfy other admission requirements may be admitted on probationary status.
  • Five years meaningful record of employment and currently holding middle management or upper supervisory level position.
  • Satisfactory score in Entrance Examination.
  • Fully accomplished Application for Admission.
  • Interview as may be required by the Admission Committee.
Deadlines and the Application Process

The deadline for application is 30 days before the start of each program.

Programs are often fully subscribed, so we encourage you to apply early. Admissions Committee meets regularly to review application submissions. Applications received after the program deadlines will be considered on a space-available basis.

Program faculty are subject to change at the discretion of AGSB.

Admission Procedure for Foreign Student-Applicants
  1. Foreign student-applicants may visit the AGSB websitev and fill out the online application form.
  2. The downloadable Recommendation Forms may be printed and filled out by chosen referees.
  3. The following documents should be prepared for submission to the Admissions Office, Ateneo Graduate School of Business:
      • three (3) duly accomplished Recommendation Forms;
      •  two (2) photocopies of marriage certificate (for married women);
      • two (2) photocopies of passport pages where name, photo, birth date, and birthplace appear;
      • three (3) colored 1”x1” size ID pictures;
      • TOEFL or IELTS results and one photocopy ( not yet required but an advantage);
      • two (2) photocopies of official transcript of records and diploma (or certificate of graduation) and their English translation, if needed; and 
      • a Certificate of Degree Equivalency issued by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP) or other office specified by the PFSP or by the university in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence may be required to determine the applicants' earned degree.
  4. Upon foreign applicant’s arrival in the Philippines , he/she reports to the Office of the Registrar so that he/she may be scheduled for the Ateneo entrance exam which will be administered by the Ateneo Center for Educational and Psychological Assessment (ACESS) in the Rockwell Center Campus. The application fees maybe paid upon filing of the application.
  5. Applicants will be interviewed by the Admissions Committee. The interview is scheduled after these applicants shall have filed their application papers and taken the entrance test.
  6. Admission notices are issued by the Office of the Registrar after evaluation of qualifications, test results and other documentary evidences.
  7. Accepted foreign student-applicants who need student visas must provide the following documents to the Office of the Registrar so that the Ateneo Graduate School of Business can apply for student visas on their behalf with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration;
     
    1. Photocopy of passport pages where name, photo, birthdate, and birthplace of the student-applicant appear
       
    2. Two original official transcript of records and their English translation, if needed, duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP) in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence. One set will be retained by the PFSP or Philippine Bureau of Immigration; the second set will be retained by the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
       
    3. Diploma or certificate of graduation and its English translation certified as true copy by the applicant’s university
       
    4. Student visa applicants must also submit official forms for Personal History Statement, a notarized Affidavit of Support, and bank statements.

      Police clearance certificate issued by the National Police authorities in the student’s country of origin or legal residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place for applicant who resided in the Philippines for less than 59 days.
       
    5. Quarantine Medical examination by the Philippine National Quarantine Office.

    Six copies of the Personal History Statement must be originally filled out, duly signed by the applicants both in English and in their national alphabet accompanied by their personal seal, if any, and containing among others, their left and right thumbprints and a 2 x 2 inch photograph on plain white background taken not more than six months prior to submission.

    The Affidavit of Support and bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars are required to provide documentary proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses.
     
  8. Assistance may also be provided by the Office of the Registrar for foreign students who apply for Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and Certificate of Residence for Temporary Students (CRTS).
     

     
    Policy on Withdrawals
     
    • Refunds are allowed within first and second weeks only, for Standard Program, MM Program & MBAH
      1ST WEEK (90%), 2ND WEEK (80%)
    • Refunds are allowed within first week only for Reis Program (80%)
    • Withdrawals & Change Status are allowed up to the 10th week of classes only for Standard Program, MM Program & MBAH
    • fewer than 15 days before the program, no refund

     
    Change of Schedule

    Changes / revisions are allowed only within the first two weeks of classes, for Standard Program, MM Program & MBAH For Regis Program, Changes/revisions are allowed only during 1st week of the opening of classes.
